What you will drive

  • Develop and maintain a forward-looking community engagement strategy with clear goals, metrics, and quarterly milestones across all MuckRock audiences.
  • Own newsletters and social media strategy to drive subscriber growth, audience development, and engagement optimization.
  • Build active Slack communities across the MuckRock ecosystem, fostering regular conversation and participation.
  • Drive traffic to MuckRock's news content, tools, and events by optimizing content distribution and site engagement.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Minimum 5 years of experience, with 2-3 years owning strategy in community engagement or audience development.
  • Proven track record building engaged communities at a nonprofit, media, or mission-driven organization.
  • Strategic thinker able to develop engagement strategy serving editorial, product, training, and development.
  • Effective collaborator able to work across teams and lead through relationships and shared goals.
