Role details
A 10-week summer clerkship for law students supporting criminal justice efforts to advance animal protection through the legal system.
- Complete legal research, write motions and memos, and assist attorneys responding to animal cruelty crimes and improving criminal law frameworks.
- Prepare resource guides, position statements, and model laws to create systemic improvements in how the criminal justice system addresses animal cruelty.
- Required: current 2L or LLM student at ABA-accredited law school with superior legal research and writing skills.
- Preferred: sincere interest in criminal justice, animal law, or both; ability to work independently and remotely.
- 35 hours/week for 10 weeks starting June 2027; $20/hour with option to structure as unpaid externship or volunteer position.
