Clerkship, Legislative Affairs Program (Summer 2027)

• In this role, you'll work as a law student clerk on the Legislative Affairs Program, supporting animal protection initiatives through policy advocacy.
• Research policy issues, develop legislative analysis, memos, and issue briefs on animal protection matters.
• Prepare correspondence and outreach materials to supporters, coalition partners, and public officials.
• Attend virtual hearings, coalition calls, advocacy events, and lobby days to advance legislative goals.
• Collaborate with other departments to develop campaign content including website pages, emails, and outreach scripts.

The Animal Legal Defense Fund is an animal law advocacy organisation that aims to protect the lives and advance the interests of animals through the legal system.
