Chief Executive Officer

• Lead organizational strategy, fundraising, communications, and financial management to scale mangrove restoration globally.
• Supervise a distributed team across the US, UK, Thailand, Mexico, and Philippines, fostering collaboration and accountability.
• Work closely with the Director of Programs to align scientific programs, partnerships, and organizational goals.
• Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, ensuring strategic plan implementation and organizational compliance.

This role enables Mangrove Action Project to scale its globally recognized mangrove restoration work, directly contributing to climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and food security for coastal communities worldwide.

• Demonstrated nonprofit leadership experience at senior management or executive level.
• Proven fundraising track record with major donor cultivation and diversified revenue streams.
• Familiarity with environmental or conservation sector, including ecological restoration or nature-based solutions.
• International or cross-cultural experience and comfort with remote/distributed team management.

Salary range: USD $110,000 – $140,000 per year. Benefits include 4% retirement contribution, 100% employer-paid health/vision/dental insurance, and approximately 6 weeks of paid time off (including holidays and a 2-week winter break). Fully remote position within the United States.
