Certification Specialist

• Review certification applications, inspection reports, and supporting documentation to determine compliance with organic standards.
• Serve as primary contact for assigned clients, providing information and responding to inquiries about organic certification.
• Write compliance findings, including conditions, notifications of noncompliance, and adverse actions, and monitor response deadlines.

This role ensures the integrity of organic certification, supporting sustainable agriculture and consumer trust in organic products, thereby promoting environmental stewardship and healthier food systems.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, preferably in agriculture, biology, environmental studies, or food science.
• Experience as a Certification Specialist and familiarity with regulatory compliance.
• Knowledge of USDA organic standards and certification procedures.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
