Backend (Mid-Level) Software Engineer

• Develop, test and release new functionality that powers the Granular Energy Platform, focusing on optimization matching green energy consumption and production with financial risk management.
• Help define and shape new product features by working with product and across the organization.
• Contribute to improving ways of working and team culture.

This role directly contributes to the transition towards 24/7 clean energy by building software that enables electricity companies to match green generation and consumption at scale, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

• 3-6 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of a high-level language such as Python, Java, or C#; willingness to work in Python.
• Confident and safe use of AI to aid development velocity.
• Experience in energy, commodity trading, or financial markets is a strong plus.

• Transparent salaries based on seniority/location: France €52K–€71K, Netherlands €62K–€85K, Belgium €55K–€74K, UK £75K–£102K, Germany €64K–€86K, plus equity.
