Mission

What you will drive

  • Monitor and analyze federal policy developments impacting health and human services, and represent APHSA members' interests with Congress and federal agencies.
  • Lead policy content development, manage grants and contracts, and engage with state/local human services leaders to advance economic mobility programs.
  • Supervise and coach policy team members, develop philanthropic partnerships, and support strategic planning and member engagement.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Public Policy, or related field; 5-7 years of experience in human services; 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Deep understanding of SNAP, TANF, Medicaid, workforce development, and related federal policy issues.
  • Proven ability to conduct research, communicate findings, and develop strategic plans; strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with budget management, grant management, and data-informed decision-making; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
