People & Operations Manager

• Lead HR and people operations including performance management, compliance, onboarding, and employee engagement.
• Manage internal operations, executive support, and board governance to ensure smooth organizational functioning.
• Drive special projects and events such as fundraising and team retreats.

This role ensures that About Fresh can effectively operate and scale its mission to provide equitable access to healthy food, directly supporting food justice and health equity.

• 3+ years of HR experience at a small, remote-first nonprofit with employees in 3+ states.
• Strong understanding of multi-state employment law, performance management, and PEOs.
• Experience supporting a nonprofit Board of Directors and planning events.
• Excellent project management, communication, and remote work skills.
