AI Accountability Fellow

• Pursue an in-depth AI accountability investigation examining how algorithms impact policy and communities.
• Develop an impact plan to reach strategic audiences through partnerships, events, and community engagement.
• Share methodologies and findings to serve as a blueprint for other journalists and newsrooms.

This role creates positive change by holding AI systems accountable, ensuring algorithms are transparent and fair, and informing policy and public understanding.

• Experience in investigative journalism or data analysis.
• Ability to develop and execute impact plans.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Up to $25,000 to cover records requests, travel, data analysis, and engagement activities. Mandatory monthly meetings, training sessions, and peer collaboration.
