Accounting Consultant (Remote)

• Lead project accounting engagements including discovery, financial cleanup, and strategic process improvements for nonprofit clients.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of client accounting systems, workflows, policies, and General Ledger accuracy.
• Develop and present strategic recommendations for QuickBooks/Chart of Accounts optimization, internal controls, and GAAP compliance.
• Design and implement detailed workplans, policies, and procedures to execute agreed-upon improvements.

This role strengthens the financial health and compliance of nonprofit organizations, enabling them to focus resources on their missions and create greater positive social impact.

• 10+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or commensurate work experience.
• Well-developed knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit finance.
• Proven history of leading successful accounting cleanup projects.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel; excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
