How to Apply for Account Executive Central and Eastern Europe (f/m/x)

at LiveEO

🏢 About LiveEO

LiveEO combines cutting-edge AI with satellite data to help infrastructure operators monitor assets like power lines and pipelines, making them more resilient to climate change. If you want to work at the intersection of space tech, sustainability, and enterprise sales, this is a unique opportunity to drive real impact in a fast-growing startup.

About This Role

As the Account Executive for Central and Eastern Europe, you'll own the entire sales cycle from prospecting to close, targeting utilities, TSOs, DSOs, rail operators, and pipeline companies. Your work will directly expand LiveEO's footprint in a key region, helping critical infrastructure become safer and greener.

💡 A Day in the Life

Your day might start with a discovery call with a Polish TSO discussing vegetation encroachment risks, followed by a demo of Treeline to a German pipeline operator. After lunch, you'd update your CRM, research new prospects in the Czech energy sector, and prepare a proposal for a rail client—all while coordinating with the marketing team on an upcoming industry event in Budapest.

🎯 Who LiveEO Is Looking For

  • Has 4+ years of B2B enterprise sales experience in SaaS, technology, or infrastructure software, with a proven track record of closing new business in Eastern European markets.
  • Deeply understands Central and Eastern European infrastructure sectors (utilities, energy, rail, pipeline) and can speak to customer pain points like vegetation risk and pipeline integrity.
  • Is a self-starter comfortable building a territory from scratch, with strong commercial acumen in business case development, contract negotiation, and complex procurement.
  • Fluent in English and at least one regional language (e.g., German, Polish, Czech) to effectively engage local stakeholders.

📝 Tips for Applying to LiveEO

1

Tailor your resume to highlight specific deals closed in Eastern Europe, including deal size, customer type (e.g., TSO, DSO), and how you overcame procurement hurdles.

2

In your cover letter, reference LiveEO's products (Treeline and Surface Scout) and explain how you would position them for infrastructure monitoring use cases in the region.

3

Quantify your pipeline-building success—mention how you generated leads from scratch in a new market and the revenue impact.

4

Showcase your understanding of the competitive landscape (e.g., traditional aerial surveys vs. satellite AI) and how you'd differentiate LiveEO.

5

If you have experience with climate-tech or sustainability sales, emphasize it—LiveEO values mission-driven candidates.

✉️ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

["Your passion for climate-tech and how LiveEO's mission aligns with your career goals.", 'Specific examples of selling to infrastructure companies in Central and Eastern Europe, including deal structure and stakeholder management.', "Your ability to build a territory from zero, with concrete steps you'd take to establish LiveEO's presence (e.g., target accounts, events, partnerships).", 'How your language skills and cultural knowledge give you an edge in the region.']

  • Read LiveEO's case studies on their website, especially those involving vegetation management or pipeline monitoring for European customers.
  • Understand the regulatory landscape for infrastructure monitoring in Central and Eastern Europe (e.g., EU directives on grid resilience, pipeline safety norms).
  • Familiarize yourself with competitors like Orbital Insight, Descartes Labs, or traditional service providers (e.g., Fugro) and how LiveEO differentiates.
  • Look into recent news about LiveEO—funding rounds, partnerships, or product launches—to show you're up-to-date.

💬 Prepare for These Interview Topics

Based on this role, you may be asked about:

1 Walk me through how you would build a sales pipeline in a new country like Poland or Czech Republic from scratch.
2 Describe a complex procurement process you navigated with a utility or infrastructure company—how did you handle multiple stakeholders?
3 How would you articulate the ROI of LiveEO's satellite monitoring compared to traditional methods (e.g., helicopter patrols)?
4 Tell me about a time you had to adapt your sales pitch for a different cultural or regulatory context in Eastern Europe.
5 How do you stay updated on trends in infrastructure, energy, or climate policy that could impact LiveEO's market?

⚠️ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Don't submit a generic sales resume without tailoring to infrastructure or satellite tech—it will stand out for the wrong reasons.
  • Avoid vague claims like 'I can sell anything'—be specific about your experience with enterprise, long-cycle sales in Eastern Europe.
  • Don't underestimate the importance of cultural fit—LiveEO is a startup; show you're comfortable with ambiguity and building processes.
