How to use it

  • Pick zones. Choose two to four time zones where your team or interviewers are.
  • Set hours. Adjust the working day to match your team (the default is 9:00 to 17:00 local time).
  • Read the chart. The bottom row marks hours that fall inside everyone's working day; the box below lists that window in each local time.

Why shared hours matter

Teams spread across time zones need some shared hours for calls, pairing and quick decisions. Many remote teams aim for three to four hours of overlap and move the rest of their work to written, asynchronous updates.
