Video Editor

Block by Block Creative is seeking a Video Editor to support documentary and short-form video projects for nonprofits, conservation organizations, and mission-driven partners. This role focuses on assembling, polishing, and exporting videos across multiple platforms, with occasional light motion graphics (lower thirds, simple titles, basic animations). Responsibilities Edit short-form and long-form video content (documentary, interviews, social clips) Sync and cut interviews and b-roll Apply basic color correction and audio cleanup Create light motion graphics (lower thirds, simple titles, minimal animations) Export videos in multiple formats and aspect ratios (horizontal, square, vertical) Implement feedback and revisions efficiently Organize project files and follow established workflows Apply accessibility features to video products (audio description, captions/subtitles, ASL) Required Qualifications Professional proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro Basic motion graphics skills (Premiere and/or After Effects) Strong attention to detail and storytelling fundamentals Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects Fluent in English (French, Spanish or ASL a plus) Based in Canada and legally eligible to work as an employee
