Two Roles - Staff Accountant and Finance Associate

Rethink Priorities is hiring a Staff Accountant and Finance Associate to support day-to-day finance operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Bookkeeping, AP/AR processing, and reconciliations.
• Staff Accountant: Greater ownership of accounting functions, process development, and strategic collaboration with the Controller.
• Finance Associate: Data entry, ensuring transactional accuracy, and gaining exposure to fund accounting and finance operations.

This role supports the financial operations of Rethink Priorities, enabling the organization to effectively allocate resources toward high-impact research and interventions in areas like animal welfare, AI safety, and global health.

Required skills and qualifications:

• Experience in bookkeeping, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
• Staff Accountant: Strong accounting knowledge and process improvement skills.
• Finance Associate: Attention to detail and data entry accuracy.
• US-based and fully remote capability.

Compensation ranges from $55,000 to $80,000/year depending on the role. Fully remote position (US-based only).
