How to apply for Technical Account Manager (AI Driven) - Curveglass
AE Studio
About AE Studio
AE Studio is a software company that provides product design, software development, machine learning, and data science services. Curveglass is a startup incubated by AE Studio that provides a flight-level correction layer for airline revenue management, helping airlines make better decisions through advanced data science and modeling. Curveglass runs directly inside each airline's cloud environment, combining startup ownership with access to AE Studio's engineering and AI network.
About the role
This is a hands-on engineering role with broad ownership. You will build and maintain client-specific Adapter code, work across frontend and backend systems, integrate with airline data and infrastructure, and deploy and operate Curveglass within client cloud environments. You will also work directly with clients to understand technical and business needs, lead meetings, troubleshoot issues, and analyze recommendation results with revenue management teams.
A typical day
You might start by reviewing client-specific Adapter code or troubleshooting an integration issue with an airline's data systems. Later, you could join a client meeting to discuss recommendation results with their revenue management team, then deploy or update Curveglass in the client's cloud environment. You will work closely with the Curveglass core team and may need to analyze data or adjust business rules to match client needs.
Who AE Studio is looking for
- Has hands-on experience building and maintaining full-stack applications, including frontend, backend, APIs, and data integrations.
- Has deployed and operated software inside client cloud environments, ideally with experience in airline or other enterprise infrastructure.
- Can work directly with clients, lead technical meetings, and manage technical expectations while troubleshooting issues.
- Is comfortable analyzing data and recommendation results in collaboration with revenue management or similar business teams.
Tips for this application
- Highlight specific experience deploying software inside a client's cloud environment, since Curveglass runs directly inside each airline's cloud.
- Describe any work you have done on client-specific adapters, integrations, or configuration layers that sit on top of a common core product.
- Show that you can both write code and talk to clients. Give examples of leading technical meetings or managing technical expectations.
- Mention any exposure to airline revenue management, flight-level data, or similar domain problems, even if it was not the main focus of your role.
- Explain how you have worked across frontend and backend systems in a single role, since the job requires broad ownership of the Adapter.
What to cover in your cover letter
['Your experience building and maintaining client-specific code that integrates with external data and infrastructure.', "Your ability to deploy and operate software inside a client's cloud environment, including any airline or enterprise context.", 'Your track record of working directly with clients on technical issues, leading meetings, and managing expectations.', 'Your comfort analyzing recommendation results or data outputs alongside business teams such as revenue management.']
Draft a cover letterResearch before applying
- Read about AE Studio's services and how it incubates startups like Curveglass, including the relationship between the two.
- Look into airline revenue management and what a flight-level correction layer does for airline decision-making.
- Understand what it means for a product to run inside an airline's cloud environment, including common constraints and integration points.
- Check if Curveglass or AE Studio has published any case studies, blog posts, or talks about their work with airlines or revenue management.
Likely interview topics
Based on the job description, expect questions about:
- How you have built and maintained a client-specific adapter or integration layer on top of a common core product.
- Your approach to deploying and operating software inside a client's cloud environment, including security and access constraints.
- A time you led a technical meeting with a client and had to manage expectations or troubleshoot an issue in real time.
- How you analyze recommendation results or model outputs with a business team to ensure they make sense.
- Your experience working across frontend and backend systems, and how you prioritize when owning a client implementation end-to-end.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Applying as a pure account manager without showing hands-on engineering ability, since this role requires building and maintaining Adapter code.
- Focusing only on generic full-stack skills without addressing client-facing work, cloud deployment, or airline data integration.
- Assuming the role is only about client relationships or only about coding, when it explicitly combines both in a single position.
