System Owner – Smart Charging Systems (f/m/x)

• Define and own the technical roadmap for Smart Charging Systems within IONITY.
• Lead the development and evolution of IONITY's in-house load management controller and related smart charging applications.
• Drive technology scouting, evaluation of new smart charging technologies, and lead pilot projects for emerging technologies such as RoboCharging.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define system requirements, architectures, and interfaces, and support integration of smart charging capabilities into the charging ecosystem.

This role accelerates the transition to electric mobility by developing intelligent charging solutions that optimize energy use, integrate renewable sources, and enable grid-friendly charging, reducing carbon emissions and supporting sustainable transportation.

• Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Energy Systems, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in eMobility charging infrastructure, smart charging, energy management systems, or related technical fields.
• Deep understanding of EV charging infrastructure, charging system architectures, smart charging concepts, load management, and power optimization strategies.
• Familiarity with charging communication protocols such as OCPP, ISO 15118, Modbus TCP/IP, and IEC 61850; business fluent English (mandatory).
