Substation Engineer 2 (Remote)

• Design, review, and implement electrical substations, including layout, equipment selection, and specifications in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Prepare and review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications using AutoCAD Electrical or Bluebeam.
• Provide technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning of new substations, ensuring compliance with project schedules and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of substations into the overall power grid.

This role supports the design and maintenance of utility-scale solar, battery storage, and high voltage substation projects, contributing to the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure and a more sustainable power grid.

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field; master's degree preferred.
• 2+ years in substation design, construction, or maintenance or equivalent design experience.
• Solid understanding of power systems, including transmission, distribution, and generation.
• Proficiency in engineering software tools such as ETAP, SKM, or PSS/E for power system analysis a plus.
