Strategic Communications Manager

Manage editorial calendars and communications strategy for climate and energy data reports, translating complex information into compelling media narratives.
- Project manage GEM's editorial calendar for flagship reports; coordinate timelines, contributors, approvals, and communications support.
- Write and edit communications materials including media pitches, press releases, web content, and newsletters for data releases.
- Collaborate with Communications Director and program teams to identify, develop, and pitch compelling stories based on GEM data.
- Requires 5+ years communications or journalism experience and ability to manage multiple projects with diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred: understanding of energy and climate policy, established journalist network, and strong data-to-narrative translation skills.
