Stormwater Project Engineer

Core responsibilities:

• Technical writing and communications with clients and regulatory authorities
• Site design, site grading, erosion & sediment control, and stormwater management design
• Preparing local, state, and federal permit application packages and specifications
• Construction administration and mentoring staff-level engineers

This role creates positive change by developing flood resilience solutions for communities and improving surface water quality through stormwater management projects, directly addressing environmental and public safety challenges.

Required qualifications:

• 4–8 years of experience in flood resiliency and stormwater project design
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related technical field
• Registered Professional Engineer in New York (or ability to apply for reciprocity)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively
