Staff Attorney

• Perform legal research and draft legal documents including answers, motions, and court filings.
• Draft demand letters and engage in alternative dispute resolution to resolve civil rights cases.
• Represent clients during FBI interrogations and assist trial attorneys with litigation aspects.
• Participate in speaking engagements and train CAIR staff on civil rights issues.

This role directly protects the civil liberties of American Muslims, combats discrimination, and promotes justice and mutual understanding in society.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Minimum 3 years prior associate-level experience in civil rights.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral skills.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments and work independently and in a team.

Salary: $83,100 annually (non-negotiable). Remote position with occasional travel. Full-time, exempt status.
