Mission
What you will drive
- Maintain and augment the automation and services responsible for operating Planet's satellites, including managing cloud-based infrastructure, evaluating software technologies, and designing critical infrastructure.
- Contribute to a team that values open communication, collaboration, and self-learning to solve problems.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (Satellite Operations, Ground Operations, Pipeline, Product) to ensure the satellite constellation meets mission needs.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or similar.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience.
- Experience building services with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS or GCP) and maintaining infrastructure with Ansible, Kubernetes, or Terraform.
- Proficiency in Python, relational databases (Postgres, MySQL), automated testing, code review, CI/CD (GitLab CI, Docker), and Linux.
