Senior Power System Engineer - ERCOT Interconnection

• Lead generation interconnection efforts within the ERCOT footprint, serving as the technical expert for energy resource interconnection processes.
• Perform EMT studies, model benchmarking, and advanced power system modeling to assess system performance and interconnection requirements.
• Create and validate PSS/E, PSCAD, and TSAT plant models for Solar PV, BESS, Wind, and conventional projects.
• Support business development, mentor junior engineers, and represent EPE at technical meetings.

This role is central to shaping interconnection strategy for renewable energy projects, ensuring high-quality technical analyses that support the transition to a modern, secure, and resilient grid, thereby contributing to a sustainable energy future.

• 5+ years professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer supporting generation and transmission interconnection.
• Well-versed in ERCOT interconnection process; other ISOs a plus.
• PSCAD and PSS/E modeling experience; hands-on ERCOT Model Quality Testing (MQT) experience.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer focus skills; experience leveraging AI and automation tools responsibly.
