at Workiva

๐Ÿข About Workiva

Workiva is a leading provider of cloud-based solutions for integrated risk, compliance, and ESG reporting, helping organizations streamline their data and reporting processes for transparency and compliance. Working here means joining a mission-driven company at the forefront of sustainability and financial reporting innovation, with a collaborative and remote-friendly culture.

About This Role

As a Senior Partner Sales Executive for Brazil, you'll be the architect of Workiva's channel and alliance strategy in the region, building and nurturing partnerships that drive net-new growth. This role is pivotal in expanding Workiva's footprint in Latin America, requiring a blend of strategic thinking, sales acumen, and relationship-building to align with local partners and accelerate market adoption.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

A typical day might start with catching up on emails from partners in different time zones, then a virtual meeting with the LATAM Director to align on pipeline. The role is a mix of strategic planning and hands-on relationship management, with travel to Brazil possibly required.

๐Ÿ“ Tips for Applying to Workiva

1

Highlight specific examples of partner ecosystems you've built or scaled, especially in Brazil or LATAM, with measurable results (e.g., revenue growth, partner activation rates).

2

Demonstrate your understanding of Workiva's ESG reporting focus and how you've navigated similar regulatory or compliance-driven markets.

3

Tailor your resume to emphasize 'partner recruitment', 'co-sell', and 'GTM strategy' keywords, and quantify your achievements.

4

In your cover letter, mention your network in Brazil's consulting or technology sectors and how you'd leverage it for Workiva.

5

Since the role is remote, emphasize your self-motivation and experience managing virtual teams and partnerships across time zones.

โœ‰๏ธ What to Emphasize in Your Cover Letter

- Your passion for sustainability and ESG reporting, and how Workiva's mission aligns with your career goals. - Your specific experience in Brazil/LATAM partner ecosystems, including any successful partnership initiatives you've led. - Your strategic approach to developing a GTM plan for a new market, showing you've thought about Workiva's unique value proposition. - Your ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive partner success.

๐Ÿ” Research Before Applying

To stand out, make sure you've researched:

  • โ†’ Understand Workiva's product suite, especially its ESG reporting capabilities, and how it differentiates from competitors like Salesforce Sustainability Cloud or SAP.
  • โ†’ Research recent news about Workiva's expansion in LATAM, any partnerships or acquisitions, and their financial performance.
  • โ†’ Look into Brazil's ESG regulations (e.g., B3's reporting requirements) and how they create demand for Workiva's solutions.
  • โ†’ Investigate Workiva's partner program, including any existing partners in Brazil, and their partner portal or certifications.

๐Ÿ’ฌ Prepare for These Interview Topics

Based on this role, you may be asked about:

1 How would you approach recruiting and activating partners in Brazil? What types of partners would you prioritize and why?
2 Describe a time you built a partner program from scratch or turned around a struggling partnership. What was your strategy and outcome?
3 Given Workiva's focus on ESG, how do you see the market evolving in Brazil, and what opportunities or challenges do you foresee?
4 How do you balance sourcing new partners versus enabling existing ones, and how do you measure partner contribution to bookings?
5 How would you work with the Head of Sales in Brazil to ensure alignment between direct sales and partner-led sales motions?

โš ๏ธ Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Overselling your experience if you lack direct Brazil/LATAM partner sales experienceโ€”instead, emphasize transferable skills and your willingness to learn.
  • Being too generic about ESG; show you understand the specific pain points companies face in reporting and compliance.
  • Not demonstrating a clear go-to-market strategy for Brazil; come prepared with initial ideas on partner segments and approach.
