Senior Mobile Cross Platform Engineer

• Own the development and continuous improvement of Via's rider mobile apps across platforms, building new features for booking, account management, and the core rider journey.
• Architect and evolve mobile infrastructure services, making decisions about app architecture, performance optimization, and memory management.
• Diagnose and resolve critical production issues under pressure to minimize disruption to riders.
• Mentor and guide engineers on the team, sharing expertise across platforms and reviewing code.

This role directly improves access to jobs, healthcare, and education by building and maintaining the mobile platform that powers modern, efficient public transportation systems for millions of riders globally.

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with strong hands-on experience in cross-platform frameworks (Flutter preferred) and native development in Android (Kotlin) or iOS (Swift).
• Strong grasp of mobile app architecture patterns, performance optimization, and concurrent programming (Kotlin Coroutines, Swift async-await, Dart async).
• Experience with mobile frameworks including Location Services and Google Maps API, and familiarity with Mapbox.
• Natural collaborator and mentor who takes ownership and shares knowledge generously.
