Mission

What you will drive

Provide technical expertise and advice on mediation, facilitation, and dialogue processes to UN envoys, political missions, and regional organizations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and manage inclusive mediation, facilitation, and dialogue processes at national, subnational, and local levels.
  • Contribute to drafting peace agreements and ensure gender mainstreaming and youth sensitivity.
  • Conduct capacity-building seminars for mediation teams and stakeholders.

Required qualifications:

  • Strong analytical capacity and substantive knowledge in conflict mediation, political processes, or peacebuilding.
  • Significant direct experience in leading, designing, facilitating, or advising on mediation or peace processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic, high-pressure situations and meet short deadlines.
  • Competence in mainstreaming gender into work.

Consultancy role with full-time or retainer contracts. Full-time members must be permanently available for deployment on short notice and cannot undertake outside employment. Contracts are reviewed annually.
