Job description
Role details
Lead the establishment and operation of a new Central Intake and Investigations Hub managing staff misconduct and safeguarding concerns across GiveDirectly's global operations.
- Establish the Hub as a trusted, independent function: build relationships across People, Internal Audit, Safeguarding, and country leadership to ensure concerns are reported early and handled consistently.
- Lead complex investigations end-to-end, from intake and triage through findings reports and recommendations; set investigation standards and quality-assure others' work.
- Manage the system of record for staff matters; run regular reporting and calibration with leadership on patterns, themes, and risk concentration.
- Recruit and develop a team including Program Managers for Investigations and Intake and Reporting; design case management systems and identify automation opportunities to scale without proportional headcount growth.
- Requires 5–7 years leading workplace misconduct investigations including sexual misconduct and senior staff matters; trauma-informed practice and experience across multiple countries and legal contexts essential.
- Professional fluency in English plus working proficiency in French, Swahili, or Portuguese for confidential investigative interviews.
