Role

The Senior HR Manager will establish and lead the Human Resources function from the ground up, developing scalable people processes, systems, and policies that support the company's growth. This role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on execution across recruitment, employee experience, compliance, and organizational development. The ideal candidate is experienced in building HR infrastructure in fast-paced environments and is comfortable designing processes where none currently exist.

Key Responsibilities

HR Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and execute the company's HR strategy aligned with business objectives.

  • Build scalable HR processes and act as a trusted advisor to leadership on people-related matters.


HR Infrastructure & Process Development

  • Design, implement, and continuously improve HR policies, procedures, SOP documents, and operational frameworks.

  • Build and optimize an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for the company from scratch, including recruitment workflows, candidate pipelines, and reporting systems.

  • Standardize and automate HR processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.


Talent Acquisition

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment across all departments.

  • Manage job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and hiring communications.

  • Develop employer branding initiatives and build relationships with recruitment partners and talent networks.


Volunteer Program Development

  • Design and launch the company's volunteer management program from the ground up.

  • Develop scalable processes for volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, tracking, and performance.


Onboarding & Employee Experience

  • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a seamless employee experience.

  • Prepare employment documentation and coordinate onboarding activities.


Performance Management

  • Develop performance management systems, including KPIs, OKRs, and employee development frameworks.

  • Support managers with performance reviews, coaching, and succession planning.


HR Policies & Compliance

  • Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws while managing employee records and workplace relations.


HR Operations & Collaboration

  • Oversee HR operations, including HRIS, attendance, leave management, and HR reporting.

  • Manage HR communications and ensure timely responses to employee and candidate inquiries.

  • Collaborate with team members to integrate HR systems and improve operational efficiency through automation.

Qualifications

  • We value demonstrated experience, initiative, and execution over formal educational qualifications. A degree is welcome but not required.

  • You are self-driven with the ability to take initiative, solve problems independently, and work effectively without constant supervision or micromanagement.

  • At least 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations or a similar role.

  • Proven experience building or improving HR systems, processes, and operational workflows.

  • Hands-on experience building and managing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and/or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS).

  • Proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, etc.) and Slack.

  • Comfortable leveraging AI tools to improve productivity and enhance HR operations.

  • Must have a reliable laptop, stable internet connection, and mobile device to effectively support a fully remote work environment.

  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR compliance.
