Mission

What you will drive

  • Design, plan, and provide technical oversight of drilling programs across KoBold’s global exploration portfolio.
  • Lead hole design, drilling method selection, and rig specification for complex exploration drilling programs.
  • Develop comprehensive drilling execution plans including scope, cost estimates, schedules, risk assessments, and procurement strategies.
  • Mentor junior drilling engineers and ensure compliance with regulatory, environmental, and permitting requirements.

Profile

What makes you a great fit

  • Undergraduate or Masters degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Civil, Geological or Electrical Engineering with 7+ years of progressive experience in drilling engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge of diamond core drilling operations, construction methodology, and helicopter-supported exploration drilling.
  • Proficiency in hole design and analysis software tools and strong understanding of procurement processes.
  • Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods; English fluency required, French a strong positive.
