Senior Director of Finance & Operations

• Lead financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis to support organizational priorities and long-term sustainability.
• Oversee accounting, grants management, cash management, compliance, and risk management, ensuring adherence to nonprofit accounting standards and regulations.
• Partner with the COO to strengthen operational systems, processes, and infrastructure, including technology, HR, and vendor relationships.
• Supervise, coach, and develop the Senior Accountant, fostering a collaborative and service-oriented finance function.

This role ensures the financial health and operational efficiency of DEPLOY/US, enabling the organization to advance ambitious, bipartisan climate and energy policy, thereby contributing to durable decarbonization and climate leadership across the political spectrum.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible finance and accounting experience, including leading finance functions and supervising staff.
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting, GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and systems thinking skills; ability to work autonomously in a remote, bipartisan team.
