Senior Attorney, Public Lands, Wildlife, and Oceans

• Develop and lead litigation in federal and state courts to advance Earthjustice's mission to protect public lands, wildlife, and oceans.
• Conduct administrative advocacy before federal agencies and state and local governments.
• Collaborate with co-counsel, client coalitions, and outside experts to ensure effective legal representation and advocacy.
• Train and mentor colleagues, and contribute to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace.

This role directly protects biodiversity, public lands, wildlife, and oceans through strategic litigation and advocacy, combating habitat destruction and climate change to preserve the planet for future generations.

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school and active bar membership in working location.
• 6+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience representing NGO, tribal, and frontline community clients preferred.

Salary ranges vary by location: San Francisco/NYC $173,100-$222,800; Seattle/DC/Chicago/LA $164,400-$211,700; Anchorage/Denver $155,800-$200,500; Houston/Tallahassee $147,100-$189,400; Remote $147,100-$222,800.
