Mission
What you will drive
- Design and implement research and analysis on nuclear power safety and security trends, both domestically and internationally.
- Lead or support development of science-based products, including peer-reviewed papers, reports, and policy briefs.
- Represent UCS in public forums, media, and with policymakers to advocate for science-based policies.
- Collaborate with campaign staff to advance nuclear safety goals and integrate equity into research and advocacy.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Master's or Ph.D. in nuclear engineering, physics, or nuclear chemistry.
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including nuclear power plant operations experience preferred.
- Familiarity with nuclear safety and security regulations (NRC, DOE, IAEA).
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills; ability to convey complex science to non-experts.
