Mission
What you will drive
- Edit and guide a team of reporters covering Oregon outside the Willamette Valley and Southwest Washington, helping them build beats and sources.
- Report, write, and produce breaking and enterprise news stories across multiple platforms (audio, digital, video).
- Plan and assign coverage with the Regional Managing Editor, ensuring OPB leads in speed and substance.
- Represent OPB at community events and on-air programs.

Profile
What makes you a great fit
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of professional journalism experience, including 1 year of supervisory experience.
- Experience editing and covering hard news topics such as government, politics, climate change, wildfire response.
- Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Benefits

Full-time, regular status, benefits eligible. Hiring range: $48.55-$51.00 per hour (approx. $101,000-$106,000 annually). Remote position with occasional travel.
