Confirmed open on Fuse Energy's own job board on Oct 10, 2026. We re-check every day.

Job description

Fuse Energy is an energy startup on a mission to make energy abundant and affordable, fast. We combine first-principles thinking with cutting-edge technology to build a radically better energy system.

We've raised over $200M from top-tier investors including Balderton, Lakestar, Accel, Creandum, Lowercarbon, Ribbit, 20VC, Hummingbird and Collaborative Fund, alongside strategic angels including Nico Rosberg and GPs behind Meta, Revolut, Spotify and Uber.

We're building a fully integrated energy company: developing our own solar, batteries and other generation projects, building our own hardware, improving and developing grid infrastructure, trading power in real time, using AI across the business, and installing distributed energy in homes. By selling directly to consumers, we cut out the middleman, lower costs and pass the savings on to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyse and secure new energy prospects across data centres, BESS, wind, rooftop, carport and ground-mounted installations
  • Build and maintain a strong local network with local authorities, landowners, industrial clients and regional administrations, and develop new prospecting strategies
  • Establish relationships with developers, IPPs, utilities, advisors and landowners to source late-stage and Ready-to-Build projects
  • Lead commercial negotiations (NDAs, NBOs, LOIs, exclusivity agreements and acquisition terms) through to transaction completion
  • Engage commercial and industrial clients to structure Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and respond to tenders
  • Conduct technical, environmental and regulatory feasibility studies, coordinate local consultations, and secure land or lease agreements
  • Manage the development lifecycle from site selection through permitting and pre-construction, liaising with planners, consultants, legal experts, local authorities and grid operators
  • Coordinate pre-construction tasks including risk assessments, procurement tender preparation and EPC contract support
  • Collaborate with Finance, GIS and engineering to assess feasibility and optimise project design, and lead handover into delivery teams
    Requirements

  • Bachelor's level with a specialisation in power, renewable energy, agronomy, environmental studies or project management (experienced candidates also welcome)

  • 3 to 5 years' professional experience in a development role, with a track record in project development
  • Organised, open-minded and autonomous, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal skills with all stakeholders, and excellent verbal and written communication
  • Solid analytical skills, adaptability and efficiency
  • Knowledge of the Irish renewable sector and of local authorities in Ireland and Northern Ireland is a plus
  • A valid driving licence (held more than 1 year) is essential; travel required
    Benefits

  • Competitive salary and eligibility for equity

  • Biannual bonus scheme
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs
  • Private health insurance
  • Breakfast and dinner allowance for office-based employees

As we hire globally, benefits vary by location.
