Project Development Intern, TVA & Southeast - Battery Storage

• Support the Senior Project Manager in battery energy storage system (BESS) project development across the TVA and Southeast regions, including project organization, meeting support, and construction tax reporting.
• Conduct research on new market opportunities, utility procurement trends, and regulatory developments to identify actionable opportunities for pipeline growth.
• Assist with development operations by creating and updating spreadsheets, databases, and presentation materials, and tracking project milestones and KPIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Operations) to ensure accurate data gathering and compliance with documentation requirements.

This role directly supports the development of battery energy storage projects that enable cleaner, more reliable electric grids, accelerating the transition to renewable energy and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

• Current undergraduate student with applicable work experience in Data Analysis, Business Operations/Administration, Energy, Environmental Science, or a related field; OR current postgraduate student in an MBA, Energy Policy, or other business/technical program.
• Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable with a positive attitude; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience with computer applications including Zoom, SharePoint, Teams, Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to organize and present findings to senior stakeholders.
