Principal Researcher, Benchmarks, Evaluation, and Standards

Lead technical strategy for AI benchmarking, evaluation, and standards development, bridging technical and social considerations across PAI's focus areas.
- Develop PAI's evaluation ecosystem strategy and advance adoption of shared industry guidance through benchmarks, standards, and certifications.
- Design and oversee benchmarking and evaluation work; author peer-reviewed research, policy briefs, and actionable recommendations for industry and policymakers.
- Initiate collaborative partnerships with academic, civil society, and industry organizations; represent PAI at conferences and with standards bodies.
- Requires 8+ years in AI, human-computer interaction, trust and safety, or related interdisciplinary field with advanced technical degree.
- Requires demonstrated ability to translate technical guidance into evaluations and standards, and to convene stakeholders with conflicting interests.
