Role details

Policy leadership role supporting states in navigating AI governance decisions through expertise, coordination, and pilot project development.
- Field state policy requests, organize briefings and working sessions, and connect policymakers to relevant experts and peers.
- Lead incubation of AI policy pilot projects from concept through draft implementation for states.
- Track state and national AI policy developments and communicate key insights to partners.
- Requires state-level policy experience including legislative or regulatory analysis; AI or technology policy knowledge preferred.
- Contribute to early-stage organizational work including convenings, fundraising support, and internal systems building.
