How to apply for Partnerships Manager
Animal Advocacy Africa
About Animal Advocacy Africa
Animal Advocacy Africa is a nonprofit that builds the capacity of animal protection organizations across the African continent, with a focus on locally led solutions. Working here means directly empowering African advocates and movements rather than imposing external agendas, making it a unique opportunity to drive systemic change in animal welfare.
About the role
As Partnerships Manager, you will be the catalyst for establishing and sustaining Effective Animal Advocacy groups in priority regions like Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Northern Africa, and South Africa. Your work will involve recruiting local leaders, building university and professional partnerships, and coordinating on-the-ground logistics for in-depth programs. This role is pivotal in scaling the animal advocacy movement across Africa by strengthening local talent and infrastructure.
A typical day
A typical day might involve virtual meetings with local group leads to support their outreach efforts, researching potential university partners in Ethiopia, and planning travel logistics for an upcoming farm visit in Ghana. You'll balance strategic planning with hands-on coordination, always focused on strengthening locally led advocacy communities.

- Is based in Africa and willing to travel several weeks annually for farm visits, stakeholder interviews, and program coordination.
- Possesses a strategic mindset for talent recruitment and community organizing, with the ability to adapt messaging to local contexts and conduct due diligence through local intelligence gathering.
