Managing Editor

• Lead the editorial vision, development, and production of the Philosophy & Society Program's primary publications.
• Oversee the full editorial lifecycle from concept development through publication and dissemination.
• Manage an editorial board and junior staff to ensure high-quality execution across formats.
• Develop strategies to expand the reach and impact of publications, including new formats like audio and video.

This role shapes public discourse on profound societal questions, fostering understanding and dialogue that can lead to positive change. By producing high-quality publications, the Managing Editor helps reignite the tradition of public philosophy and engage diverse audiences in critical thinking.

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience in editorial leadership, journalism, or related fields.
• Demonstrated ability to shape complex ideas into clear, compelling written work.
• Strong editorial judgment and attention to detail, with experience managing a team of writers or content creators.
• Experience managing multiple editorial projects simultaneously and building efficient workflows.
