Manager - Market Design & Readiness

• Translate day-ahead market rules, tariffs, and readiness requirements into actionable internal processes and participation frameworks.
• Own and maintain the EDAM or Markets+ implementation and readiness checklist.
• Coordinate readiness testing, trial operations, and parallel operations.
• Interface regularly with Legal, Regulatory, Transmission, Trading, and Operations to ensure compliance and value-driven participation.

This role ensures Avangrid is operationally and commercially prepared to participate in EDAM or Markets+, enabling efficient and compliant energy market participation that supports the transition to a cleaner, more reliable grid.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Business, or relevant experience in a related field.
• 8–12 years of experience in power markets, market design, or market operations.
• Direct experience interpreting wholesale market tariffs or implementation requirements.
• Preferred: Market rules literacy, program management, cross-functional coordination, and comfort in ambiguous environments.
