As a Lead Software Developer - Python, you will:

• Take a key role in the Process & IT Team, developing automations to advance the company as a well-funded scale-up
• Drive the future of software development at einhundert by establishing AI agents, enabling the team, and making AI-supported development a reality
• Promote excellence by setting quality, security, and coding standards, demonstrating clean code, and making performance visible
• Act as mentor and expert by providing technical mentoring for developers, conducting regular code reviews, and being a sparring partner for technical challenges
• Create opinionated examples and reference implementations, and discuss solution approaches for complex tasks with developers in advance
• Spread knowledge by introducing new formats like code/AI katas, organizing training, and ensuring know-how is available and actively used
• Translate business into tech by supporting process managers in planning and breaking down complex business problems into implementable technical requirements
• Shape the future by developing architecture with your team lead and making AI a value-adding part of the development process

Contribute to climate protection by advancing the expansion of photovoltaic systems on multi-family houses, supporting sustainability efforts through your work at an energy startup.

• Python expert with mastery of typed Python at expert level, guided by KISS and YAGNI principles, believing Everything-as-Code is the best documentation
• Responsible and ready to take responsibility throughout the entire SDLC, ideally with prior experience as a mentor, and confident in guiding a team of 5-8 developers
• Quality-conscious with secure coding practices, compliance thinking, attention to edge cases, and standard use of test automation and branch coverage
• Attracted to scale-up dynamics, wanting to advance structures without enterprise overhead, increase outcomes, and develop the team, ideally with startup experience
• Interested in AI, with a drive to integrate AI and agents into the SSDLC; prior experience with prompting, MCP, and tools like GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or Claude Code is a plus
• Business-oriented, understanding the business context of einhundert, seeking simple and pragmatic solutions for complex problems, and communicating well in German and English
• Enthusiastic about the tech stack: Python 3.13, uv, pyright and mypy; pytest and Property-Based Testing via Hypothesis; deployment via GitHub with Actions and Terraform to Windmill on AWS; data processing with PostgreSQL and DuckDB
