How to Apply for Legal Intern (Summer 2027)
at Muon Space
๐ข About Muon Space
Muon Space is a fast-growing startup revolutionizing climate action with cutting-edge Earth-sensing satellite technology. They support both commercial climate missions and national security programs for customers like NOAA and the U.S. Space Force, offering interns direct mentorship from accomplished legal and aerospace professionals. Working here means contributing to real impact in space law and regulatory policy from day one.
About This Role
As a Legal Intern, you'll support Muon's small but mighty Legal team across the entire satellite lifecycleโfrom spectrum and remote sensing licensing to commercial and government contracting, export compliance, and corporate matters. You'll build regulatory compliance matrices, conduct research, and assist with contracts, gaining hands-on exposure to commercial space law and government contracts. No prior space-law experience is needed; this is a full-time remote summer internship for 1Ls and 2Ls.
๐ก A Day in the Life
A typical day might involve researching FCC spectrum licensing requirements, updating a compliance matrix with new reporting obligations, and reviewing a government contract under the supervision of an attorney. You'll also attend team meetings, collaborate with regulatory specialists, and possibly draft internal memos on export compliance. No two days are the same, and your work directly supports Muon's satellite missions.
