How to Apply for Legal Assistant, International
at Sinergia Animal
🏢 About Sinergia Animal
Sinergia Animal is a fast-growing international animal protection NGO that campaigns to reduce meat consumption in Latin America and Asia, targeting some of the worst practices in industrial farming. Working here means joining a mission-driven, remote-first team where legal and compliance work directly supports campaigns that reduce animal suffering. It’s an opportunity to use legal skills for systemic change rather than corporate profit.
About This Role
As Legal Assistant, International, you’ll support Sinergia Animal’s legal and compliance initiatives across multiple countries, conducting legal research and drafting documents that underpin animal welfare campaigns. You’ll help ensure the organization operates effectively within diverse legal frameworks while advancing its advocacy goals. This role is ideal for someone who wants to apply paralegal or legal training to a high-impact animal protection mission.
💡 A Day in the Life
You might start your day with a team check-in, then dive into legal research on a specific country’s animal welfare regulations to support a new campaign. After drafting a compliance memo, you’ll coordinate with campaigners to ensure their materials meet legal standards, and later review documents for an international coalition. The work is varied, mission-driven, and entirely remote, with frequent collaboration across time zones.

Show you’ve researched Sinergia Animal’s key campaigns (e.g., cage-free egg commitments in Latin America) and explain how you’d support them legally.
If you’re not already vegan or vegetarian, be prepared to discuss your commitment to animal welfare and how you align with the organization’s values.
