How to apply for LEDA Special Events & Advancement Operations Officer

(LEDA) Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America

About (LEDA) Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America

LEDA is a mission-driven nonprofit that empowers exceptional young leaders from under-resourced backgrounds to access and succeed at selective colleges and beyond. Unlike many education nonprofits, LEDA provides a comprehensive continuum of support from high school through career launch, creating a tight-knit community of Scholars and alumni. Working here means directly contributing to a more inclusive and equitable country by ensuring that leadership reflects the diversity of its citizenry.

About the role

As the LEDA Special Events & Advancement Operations Officer, you will be the operational backbone of LEDA's fundraising, stewardship, and career development events. You'll manage event logistics, support donor and corporate partner engagement, and help expand the events portfolio to increase LEDA's visibility and revenue. This role is critical to sustaining and growing the resources that fuel LEDA's mission and Scholar programs.

A typical day

A typical day might involve coordinating with vendors for an upcoming gala, updating the CRM with donor interactions, and brainstorming new corporate partnership ideas with the Advancement team. You'll also spend time troubleshooting event logistics, drafting communications, and analyzing registration data to inform outreach. Expect a mix of virtual meetings, independent work, and collaborative problem-solving—all in service of advancing LEDA's mission.
