Lead Engineer

• Lead and provide professional engineering design input for new and existing generator products, improving performance, efficiency, manufacturability, reliability, safety and total cost of ownership.
• Plan, coordinate and drive technical tasks across multi-disciplinary engineering resources, agreeing priorities, milestones and delivery plans with Product Engineering Managers.
• Define system test and validation strategies, approve development test results, and ensure compliance with applicable legislative and safety standards.
• Own the technical delivery of designs, including creation and release of accurate Bills of Material, component specifications, and support to efficient supply and assembly.

• A degree-qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with strong industrial experience in the design of complex engineered products; Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• An experienced technical lead with a proven track record of developing gas or diesel reciprocating generator packages within a commercially demanding manufacturing environment.
• Highly proficient in the use of computer-aided engineering tools, including 3D CAD, thermal calculations, 1D flow analysis, FEA and CFD.
• A systems thinker who understands how design decisions impact performance, safety, reliability, maintainability and cost across the full product lifecycle.
