Sr. Grants Accountant

• Serve as primary Finance point of contact for programmatic teams and grantees, managing grantee relations, technical assistance, and help desk support.
• Own end-to-end grantee payment process including invoice review, budget management, and disbursement coordination.
• Ensure audit-ready financial records, compliance with grant terms, and accurate financial reporting for leadership and funders.
• Drive process improvements across the grant lifecycle and support grant closeout activities.

This role ensures that millions of public dollars are invested responsibly and effectively, reaching community organizations to create meaningful economic opportunity across Los Angeles County.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or grants management; fund accounting strongly preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting, with experience in budget-to-actual analysis, journal entries, and reconciliations.

Hiring Salary Range: $80,000-88,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 403(b) plan, pension, life insurance, disability benefits, paid holidays, and paid time off. This position is grant funded for 3 years.
