Head of Privacy & Security

• Lead security engineering, compliance, and privacy programs with end-to-end ownership of risk and customer assurance.
• Drive security automation, incident response, and detection engineering to protect educational data.
• Manage SOC 2 compliance operations and audits, and partner with Trust and Safety on child safety and responsible AI.

This role safeguards the privacy and security of educational data for students and educators worldwide, enabling equitable access to AI tools in education while building trust and responsible AI deployment.

• 7+ years in security roles with at least 3 years in leadership positions.
• Experience implementing security controls in fast-moving engineering organizations (DevSecOps).
• Experience securing container-based cloud environments (AWS EKS) including IAM, network security, and logging.
• Experience leading GDPR compliance and SOC 2 audits.
