How to apply for Product Manager

Nava Benefits

About Nava Benefits

Nava Benefits is on a mission to #fixhealthcare by fusing deep benefits expertise with cutting-edge technology. They are one of the fastest-growing benefits brokerages, backed by leading investors, and the first to combine brokerage know-how with proprietary tech like HQ, an AI-powered benefits platform. Working here means directly impacting how millions of Americans navigate their healthcare.

About the role

As a Product Manager at Nava, you will own the strategy and execution of products that help employees compare insurance, find doctors, understand costs, and resolve billing issues. You'll work closely with Advocates, engineers, and designers to build tools that simplify complex healthcare decisions and improve outcomes for for-profit, non-profit, and government clients.

A typical day

You might start your day with a stand-up with engineering and design to prioritize features for the HQ platform. Later, you could meet with Advocates to understand common user issues and brainstorm solutions, then analyze data on how employees are using the product to compare insurance plans. You'll also collaborate with stakeholders to align on roadmap and strategy, ensuring the product meets the needs of both employers and employees.

Who Nava Benefits is looking for

  • 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in healthcare, insurtech, or benefits administration.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data on insurance products, deductibles, and real-time claims to inform product decisions.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, design, and customer-facing roles like advocates or support agents.
  • Empathy for end-users navigating healthcare and a passion for simplifying complex systems into intuitive experiences.

Tips for this application

  • Highlight any experience you have with healthcare benefits, insurance products, or benefits administration platforms in your resume and cover letter.

  • Emphasize your experience collaborating with customer support or advocacy teams to improve product feedback loops.
  • Tailor your application to reflect Nava's mission to #fixhealthcare and their focus on for-profit, non-profit, and government entities.
