Senior Software Engineer II

• Develop and maintain robust software systems that power core member experiences, including user-facing applications and internal tools.
• Partner with senior and staff engineers to design modular, observable, and secure architectures that scale with Guild's growth.
• Write clean, testable, and reusable code; contribute to end-to-end development including testing, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and deployment.
• Lead by example in code quality, technical decision-making, and documentation; participate in on-call rotations and incident response.

This role directly enables Guild's mission to help employees gain skills for in-demand roles, creating a resilient workforce and fostering economic mobility for workers across partner companies like Chipotle, Target, and JPMorgan Chase.

• 5+ years of software development experience with Python, TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and GraphQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including Lambda, Serverless Framework, Glue, API Gateway, and CDK or other IaC tools.
• Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and integrating LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI) for AI-powered features.
