Job description
Role details
Build and lead information security strategy for a growing philanthropic organization, managing risk assessment, vendor oversight, and organizational decision-making.
- Own security strategy: identify threats, prioritize remediation, and continuously update plans as organizational and threat landscape evolves.
- Drive execution through external providers (Personified MSP and others), maintaining accountability for vulnerability closure and security improvements.
- Oversee identity, access, endpoint security, data protection, and AI governance across cloud-first environment without personally administering every tool.
- Manage vendor relationships, privileged access controls, and security requirements; determine whether outsourced model remains appropriate as organization scales.
- Requires experience building or owning security function at small/growing organization; strong judgment on risk prioritization and autonomous decision-making essential.
