at HITACHI ENERGY

๐Ÿข About HITACHI ENERGY

Hitachi Energy is a global leader in advancing sustainable energy systems, working towards a carbon-neutral future. With a strong focus on innovation and digitalization, the company offers a dynamic and purpose-driven work environment where HR professionals can directly impact the energy transition. The remote-first culture across EMEA provides flexibility while fostering collaboration across diverse teams.

About This Role

As an HR Business Partner for the EMEA Southern region, you'll be the strategic HR lead for countries including France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Israel, and Portugal. This role is pivotal in aligning people strategies with business objectives, driving talent management, and coaching managers to enhance performance and engagement. Your work will directly support the company's mission by ensuring the right talent and culture are in place to deliver sustainable energy solutions.

๐Ÿ’ก A Day in the Life

You'll start your day reviewing emails from managers across time zones, then join a virtual meeting with the Italy team to discuss a performance issue. After lunch, you'll analyze turnover data for Spain and collaborate with the Talent Acquisition COE on a workforce plan for a new project in Turkey. The afternoon includes a coaching session with a new manager in France and preparing a presentation on regional engagement metrics for the EMEA HR Director.

๐ŸŽฏ Who HITACHI ENERGY Is Looking For

  • Experienced HR professional with 10+ years supporting the specific EMEA Southern region countries (France, Italy, Spain, Turkey, Israel, Portugal), including deep knowledge of local labor laws and cultural nuances.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that drive business results, such as talent retention, leadership development, or organizational design in a matrix environment.
  • Strong collaborator who can partner effectively with COEs, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders to execute global HR programs locally, with experience in workforce planning and change management.
  • Excellent coach and communicator, skilled in resolving complex employee relations issues and guiding managers through performance management and conflict resolution.
